The Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) has just announced the sinking of a boat, carrying a large number of passengers, off Caracol, in the Northeast.

The boat came from Plaine du Nord, North. The mayor of Caracol sent a boat to initiate the rescue operation.

It should be noted that the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) had issued a notice that due to weather conditions, all cabotage and pleasure activities on the entire North Coast are prohibited until further notice.
