Jean Charles Moïse announces a peaceful march

Jean Charles Moses confirmed the holding of a peaceful march on January 22 at the Capital in order not only to demand an apology from the US President but also to continue to demand the departure of President Jovenel Moïse.

Dual nationality and integration

The Federation of the Haitian Diaspora of Europe (FEDHE) recommends to the Special Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, which works on the amendment of the Constitution, to take into account the issues of dual nationality and integration of all Haitians live abroad not only in the texts, but also in practice.

7 uncertified magistrates

The CSPJ has published a list of 7 magistrates not certified by the certification commission, who must leave the judiciary, they are : Lamarre Bélizaire, Frantz Badette, Rémy Buissereth, Sudler Sainterne, Calins Calixte, Dieupie Eddy Chérubin and François Fouchard Bergromme. These magistrates were rejected for various reasons, the last two of the list had provided fake diplomas of BAC I and II.

Possible justice strike

The president of the Executive Board of the Union of Clerks of Haiti, Yves André Joseph, announced that activities may be paralyzed once again in the courts of 18 jurisdictions of the country from January 22, 2018. According to him, clerks, bailiffs and public prosecutor have already agreed on the launch of an indefinite strike. The SYGH intends to renew the strike started because of the non-satisfaction of the various points contained in the books of grievances.

Japan : Signature of 3 donation contracts

Earthquake near Port-à-Piment

The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) reported a new earthquake of magnitude 3.4, recorded Wednesday at 1:46:52 am. Its epicenter was located about 7.5 km northeast of Port-à-Piment, 17.6 km east of the Anglais and 19.7 km west of Camp-Perrin at a depth of 23km. No damage was reported by local authorities.
