President Jovenel Moïse left the country Wednesday for Italy for an official tour (from 24 to 28 January), accompanied by his wife Martine and a large delegation including the Presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, the Senator Joseph Lambert and Deputy Gary Bodeau.

He will first be received in Vatican audience by His Holiness Pope Francis before meeting with the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

During his tour, he will meet with the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella and the President of the Council of Ministers, Paolo Gentiloni Silveri.

He will complete his tour with interviews with the Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) and the Director General of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

Before returning to Haiti on Sunday, January 28, he should also meet with the Haitian community in Italy.
