President René Préval is in Grenada today to attend the 22nd summit of the CARICOM [February 25 and 26]. The Haitian delegation is composed of Alex Larsen (Minister of Health), Evans Lescouflair (Sports Minister) and Ronald Baudin (Minister of Economy)

This is the 22nd summit is chaired by Tillman Thomas, Prime Minister of Grenada. This is an opportunity for members and guests to review the problem of the reconstruction of Haiti, the issues of the Governance of the CARICOM and the major challenges of the region. During this summit, the investment fund Haiti-CARICOM [From an initial amount of $100MM, the fund could reach the billion dollars] will be officially launched.
