This week the Croix-des-Bouquets Municipal Council inaugurated the Canaan Community Resource Center (CRC), located at the entrance of Corail https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24215-haiti-news-zapping.html in the presence of, among others: Deputy Mayor Jean Jonas Saint-Juste, Me Jacky C. Pierre Head of Cabinet of Mayor Rony Colin, Chantal-Sylvie Imbeault, Country Representative of the American Red Cross, Ing. Léandre Appolon Representative of Guiteau Jean Pierre, President of the Haitian Red Cross, Mr. Yvon Noël Commissioner of the Government of Croix-des-Bouquets, officials of "Global Communities", USAID, UCLBP, of the Sogexpress members of the neighborhood tables and other guests.

This project executed by the NGO "Global Communities" (formerly CHF International) with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID - Haiti) and the American Red Cross, under the coordination of the Housing and Public Buildings Unit (UCLBP), in collaboration with the Croix-des-Bouquets Town Hall, aims to strengthen local communication between the City Hall, the partner institutions and the people of Canaan.

This 841 m2 CRC includes among others: an office of the National Identification Office (ONI), an office of the registry office, a conference room for community meetings, a space of training and a Sogexpress office.
