Haiti - Flag 215th : Invitation of the Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago

Lesly Condé the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago has the duty to remind compatriots throughout the Midwest that this Friday, May 18, 2018 brings back the 215th anniversary of the creation of the Haitian flag (May 18, 1803).

On this occasion, the Consulate General is associated with the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti and other Haitian community organizations in Chicago to invite compatriots and friends of Haiti to a recreational, cultural and patriotic meeting to be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Kizin Creole located at 2311 W. Howard Street, Chicago.

On the program : message from Consul General Lesly Condé, several speakers, patriotic songs, poems, history of the flag, musical entertainment. Main Speaker : Ketlie Acacia Luckett. A meal and refreshments will also be served.

On Sunday, May 20, the Haitian Catholic Mission of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Consulate General invite the brothers and sisters of the Community to a Mass Te Deum Solemn, which will be celebrated at 5:30 pm at the Church of Our Lady of Peace, located at 7801 South Jeffery, Chicago. After the religious ceremony a reception will be offered in the basement of the Church. This invitation extends to the faithful of all religious denominations.

The Consulate of Haiti in Chicago encourages all Haitians and friends of Haiti to come in large numbers to pay tribute to our national emblem, symbol of our fraternity and resilience that are always urgently challenged.
