Wednesday Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education held a working session with Robin Diallo, the Chargé d'affaires ai of the United States Embassy in Haiti in the presence of Jene Thomas, Director of the Office of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID - Haiti) and Jean Wilnor Pierre Coordinator of the Unit for Development of Reading, Writing and Mathematics Skills (UDCLEM). At the center of the exchanges, the follow-up of the development of the reading, writing and mathematics materials for the students of the first cycle of the fundamental.

After taking stock of the issue and the concerns raised for the advancement of the process, Minister Cadet asked UDCLEM and USAID working on the education side to activate the process to make available from the 30th of this month: the reading book, the exercise book and the illustrations that go with it. At the same time, the work of finalizing the master's guides (3 in Creole, 3 in French) must continue.

These educational tools must accompany all the work done in the context of the Haiti - USA cooperation in order to improve learning, especially in reading and mathematics.
