Haiti - Politic : Inauguration of the Professional Training Center of Trou-du-Nord

Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by his wife Martine, in the presence of local authorities, including the Deputy of Trou-du-Nord / Caracol Donal Dorsainvil (VERITE), Magguy Durcé Director General of the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP), representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and members of the Government, participated in the Opening Ceremony of the Professional Training Center of Trou-du-Nord with a capacity of 720 learners.

"This vocational school's mission is to open up new and different horizons by implementing adapted strategic programs with the aim of enabling young people to develop their full potential as a citizen," declared the Head of State.

"The Vocational School is the safest way for a youth to acquire a rewarding job in order to find a stable job and forge a better tomorrow," said Maguy Durcé.

The Center's programs revolve around the themes of access, quality, governance and partnership. It offers 4 sectors: textiles, civil construction, information and ICT communications technologies) and hotels and 20 trades. The training can last from 3 to 24 months and skills will be validated by a Certificate of Professional Aptitude (CAP - 12 months) and a Certificate of Professional Ability (BAP - 24 months).
