Thursday, Jude Alix Patrick Salomon, the Minister of Economy and Finance and Pierre Marie Du Meny, the Minister of Trade and Industry issued a joint notice to deny rumors that suggest that despite the suspension of the Fuels price adjustment, prices rose at the pump.

NOTICE :

"The Ministries of the Economy and Finance, Trade and Industry advise the general public, distributors and consumers in particular, that the prices at the pump of petroleum products remain unchanged since May 2017.

As a reminder, the prices in force throughout the national territory are as follows:

Gazoline: 224 Gdes

Gasoil: 179 Gdes

Kerosene: 173 Gdes."

For his part Guyler C. Delva, the Minister of Communication also says "[...] the price of petroleum products did not change, there is not one gourde that was added on the price you were used to buy at the pump. Do not get caught up in the rumors and old news that people circulate to stir up trouble in the country."
