Haiti - FLASH : An inspector of Immigration shot dead in Cap Haitien

Jean-Marie Reynaldo Brunet, the resigning Minister of the Interior, expresses dismay at the tragic death of Mrs. Arnolda Joseph, Inspector of the Department of Immigration and Emigration (DIE) in the North department, who fell under the murderous bullets of thugs, in the afternoon of Saturday, July 14, in Babiole, southern suburbs of the city of Cap-Haitien.

The uniformed victim aboard her vehicle, returning from her service at the Cap-Haitien airport, when she was attacked near her residence shortly after 2:00 PM, by unidentified and armed individuals who shot Mrs. Arnolda Joseph reaching her dead with several bullets. The perpetrators of this attack had time to flee before the intervention of the police

"In this unfortunate circumstance, Minister Brunet, bows to the brutal disappearance of Inspector Arnolda Joseph and presents his deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the deceased. He also sends his sincere condolences to all the immigration officers of the DIE, in particular, to the immediate collaborators of the victim in Cap-Haitien."

The Minister demands that the guilty of this heinous act respond for their act in court and confirms that an investigation has been opened.
