Following the resignation of Prime Minister Jack-Guy Lafontant and his Government https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24957-haiti-flash-resignation-of-the-prime-minister-lafontant.html the Head of Government in a circular addressed to the resigning ministers, informs them of the special measures to be observed for the dispatch of current affairs, during the whole period of transition to a new Government.

Circulaire #19 :

"Distinguished Ministers,

Following the resignation of the Government, which entails for him the sole mission of dispatching current affairs, in accordance with the Constitution, the following measures shall be adopted and shall apply immediately :

• Out-of-country trips by Ministers and other Great State Officials are suspended. Urgent cases arising from imperative necessity for the State will be subject to special authorization ;

• Any new appointment or hiring by contract in the public administration is prohibited ;

• The Ministers and the administrative authorities of the various structures of the Administration redouble their vigilance by ensuring the protection of State property and the image of the Administration through responsible and prudent management.
