With regard to the official and legal movement of persons at the land border, the DGM indicates that during the month of July, 24,133 entries and 20,133 exits were recorded, mainly at the Jimani border post where the largest flow of information was reported. people, followed by the border posts of Dajabón, Elías Piña and Pedernales.

Moreover, it should be remembered that the National Plan for the Regulation of Abroad (PNRE) and the extension of temporary residence cards granted to compatriots included in this plan has its final deadline on August 26, 2018. Most of the 239,000 Haitians who have not been able to regularize due to being unable to obtain the required documents promised by the Haitian authorities, will then be under threat of deportation.
