On Wednesday our Grenadiers returning from their participation in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 were warmly welcomed at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, by the First Lady of Haiti Martine Moïse, Régine Lamur, the Minister resigned from Youth and Sports, fans, close relatives and friends, more than a hundred people jubilant, all came to congratulate them for their efforts and to have represented Haiti with dignity, by floating our two-color high in this international competition, despite their elimination in the first round of pool matches.

Fanfare, welcome speech, flowers, encouragement and applause, our Grenadières smile on their faces seemed happy to come back home and proud of this welcome full of emotions.

Absence noticed, of the star of the team, Nérilia Mondésir aka "NériGol", top scorer in Group D, with 3 goals in two games, which broke the record held for 44 years by the late Manno Sanon https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25244-haiti-world-cup-nerigol-beats-the-record-of-manno-sanon.html , who had scored in Germany in 1974, 2 historic goals in two games lost by Haiti against Italy [1-3] and Argentina [1-4]. The new icon of Haitian football having joined the Club Montpellier Hérault where she plays in the first division, did not join the party in Haiti.
