Haiti - Cap-Haitien : 6 people from the same family, found dead in Charrier

Sunday, September 2, the dead bodies of six people from the same family were discovered in a house in Charrier, not far from the Vertières monument (2nd communal section of Cap-Haitien).

Divisional Inspector Anasey Dorival, spokesman for the National Police of Haiti (PNH - Nord) said that the PNH had been alerted by neighbors who was surprised not to have seen a single family member leave the house.

Arriving at the scene, the police found 6 dead bodies in the house that were identified as Bloox Pierre-Louis and his wife Maggie Montreuil, their two children, Ray and Blooma Pierre-Louis, a niece Michaëlle Elvécius and a brother of Mrs Montreuil, Tonny Montreuil who was to return to the US Monday according to the police.

According to Me Ferney Charles Saint Juste, Commissioner of the Government of Cap-Haitien explains that the victims corpses had whitish traces in the mouth and blood in the nose which suggests according to him a possible poisoning pending the conclusions of the medical examiner and agents of the scientific police. For his part, the departmental police judicial department has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of this family drama that remain unknown.

No arrests are reported after the first interrogations of use of neighbors and tenants.
