Haiti - Culture : Haiti host country of the 2nd International Edition of the Encounters of Creole cultures

From Sunday until October 28, 2018, the Association Vagues Littéraires invites you to the second International Edition of the Encounters of Creole Cultures.

On the agenda: conferences, screenings, exhibitions, signature sales, meetings and performances in 8 spaces of the Haitian capital, the city center in particular, including the French Institute in Haiti, the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, the National Bureau of Ethnology , the Pyepoudre Cultural Center and the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL).

Do not miss Wednesday, October 24 at 5:00 pm at the Foundation Knowledge and Freedom (FOKAL) for the screening of documentary film Marie-Clemence Andriamonta-Paes and César Paes : "Le Bouillon d’Awara" (Admission is free).

For this 2nd edition of the Encounters of Creole cultures, Guadeloupe is the guest country of honor and has the largest number of representatives. Haiti will not be outdone with his delegation : Assaf, Jean Jean Roosevelt, Darlene Dubuisson, Guy Regis Junior, Mushi Widmaier, Paula Clermont Pean, Phanise Rosembert, Yamba Ye and Tamara Suffren. The other artists will come from Martinique, France and Canada.

In addition, a window will be opened on Canada's endangered native cultures. Several Canadian Aboriginal artists will be sharing the scenes during this festival to enrich this intercultural dialogue.
