Tuesday, Yves Demesmin aka "Ti Yves", founding member of the Valencia Football Club Léogâne died in the United States, following a long-lasting disease with a fatal prognosis.

Friday, in a note, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) "[...] salutes the memory of this great Haitian football lover, he served with all his soul. It's a really cruel loss for the country and for our game.

The FHF salutes the memory of this worthy son of Haiti, this patriot and sportsman who has given everything for football and his Club and prays to his family, the many members of his Club, his friends from everywhere especially Léogâne and Valencia football club and USA, that we share their deepest sorrow and accept the expression of our sincere condolences [...] Thank you Yves and Bon voyage !"

On Saturday, an ultimate and well-deserved tribute to "Ti Yves" was given at the funeral sung at St. Elizabeth's Church in New Jersey, USA.
