Haiti - Agriculture : Beginning of the National Survey on Agricultural Production

The Ministry of Agriculture informs the general public and planters in particular, that it carries out with the financial support of the Food Security and Nutrition Program (SAN), funded by the European Union (EU), through the 11th EDF and the Haitian Government, a National Survey of Agricultural Production (ENPA) for the autumn 2018 campaign, from 22 January to 22 February 2019 throughout the national territory.

This survey will allow the Ministry to collect reliable and relevant data on the production of the main crops and livestock of the main species exploited in the country during the autumn 2018 campaign.

It will be carried out by the Agricultural Statistics and Informatics Unit (USAI) in conjunction with the Departmental Agricultural Departments (DDA) through the Departmental Statistics Units (CDS), which coordinate, supervise and monitor them in the field.

The results of this survey will be used by the State, NGOs, International Organizations, the University, associations, cooperatives, groups, planters to make better decisions on policies, strategies and interventions in the framework for the development of the agricultural sector and the rural world.

The preliminary results of this survey will be presented in March 2019.
