Concerned by the repeated cases of police officers killings, Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General of the National Police (PNH), urges the police officers to be vigilant at the demonstrations scheduled for this Thursday, February 7, 2019. He invites them to control any brigand who would have shown any inclination to infiltrate the demonstrations for the purpose of disorder, violence and looting.

"The PNH, a republican institution with supreme functions of the highest order, must stand up and, in fact, will stand up to accompany the peaceful demonstrations, neutralize the perpetrators, repress any act of vandalism, ensure the safety of lives and property in accordance to its constitutional mission.

Police offciers, be on your guard ! Surround yourself with personal security measures.

Do not evolve solo ! Always be redundant against brigands ! Emphasize team spirit to better accomplish your mission.

The country is counting on you. You can not fail in your mission. Stay alive to protect life and property ! Stay together to survive together ! Stay alive so that Haiti does not die."
