While the Haitian Chancellery proceeded Tuesday, February 12 to recall 3 Ambassadors of Haiti abroad https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26932-haiti-diplomacy-the-haitian-chancellery-recalls-3-ambassadors-of-haiti.html the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Haiti in France, Vanessa Lamothe Matignon handed on Wednesday, February 13, her resignation to President Jovenel Moïse.

In her letter to the Head of State, she reminds that she spent six years, all her energy and commitment with the Haitian community in France; provided assistance to our students on the French territory and redressed the financial and administrative situation of the Embassy of Haiti, which is no longer in debt. She points out that she is leaving behind a fleet of 2 new vehicles acquired in 2017 thanks to the sound management of her finances.

"[...] I am proud of the actions I have taken to lead a team that I wish to thank for its daily support and professionalism. It was a great honor for me to serve my country.

I thank you for your trust.

I also thank you, HE President Michel Joseph Martelly and HE President Jocelerme Privert.

It is time for me to turn to other professional projects in which Haiti will always have a prominent place.

Also, I hereby submit my resignation as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Haiti to France."
