Friday a situation of panic prevailed in the commune of Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite, when heavily armed individuals attacked the police station and burned a service vehicle and police premises.

It seems that this attack is linked to the arrest of several individuals gang members, arrested by the police of Petite Rivière including a certain "Nan Savien" who would be a close of Arnel.

The assailants furious that their accomplices were transferred to Saint-Marc, decided to attack the police station after asking for reinforcement from the dangerous gang leader Arnel Joseph who has been for some time in the Artibonite.

Arnel would have intervened actively alongside his men in this attack according to testimonies.

During this attack, in addition to significant property damage, a police officer would have died and there would be several wounded on both sides (information not officially confirmed).
