Haiti - Social : A supporter of the Grenadiers dies after their victory against Costa Rica

Edwing Charles, the Minister of Youth and Sports paid a solidarity visit to the family of Mathieu Dieujuste, a Haitian citizen of the diaspora who died near the "Red Bull Arena" after witnessing the victory of the Grenadiers against the "Ticos" Of Costa Rica [2-1] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28071-haiti-flash-gold-cup-victory-of-the-grenadiers-[2-1]-against-the-ticos-of-costa-rica.html in the third and final match of Group B of the 2019 Edition of the Gold Cup.

Minister Charles spoke with the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Anne O. Dieujuste and her son, Wagner, who warmly welcomed him and greatly appreciated this expression of solidarity in this painful circumstance.

Me Charles moved to Spring Valley to greet the memory of a patriot, a fervent supporter of the Grenadiers, uncle of the international defender Meschack Jérôme and to present to the bereaved family the sincere sympathies of the Government of the Republic and the Haitian people.

"Mathieu Dieujuste, who left after expressing his love for the country and his passion for football deserves our gratitude," said Minister Charles who was accompanied by several members of the Haitian diaspora including Renold Julien Konbit Nèg Lakay and Simone Desvarieux , President of the Baltimore of St-Marc.

Me Charles took the opportunity to congratulate the Haitian community of New Jersey who made the trip in large numbers to Red Bull Arena to encourage and applaud our Grenadiers and wished that all the Haitians of the soil and the diaspora will not fail to bring their support to this selection committed to continue to make our pride during this edition of the Gold Cup.

Note that Saturday in the quarterfinals, the Grenadiers will face the Canucks of Canada (2nd in Group A with 3 games, 3 wins and 9 points) on the lawn of NRG Stadium in Houston (Texas) at 7:00 pm (Atlantic Standard Time) 8:00 pm in Haiti.
