Following several meetings around the problems affecting the proper functioning of the Ministry of National Education https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28011-haiti-politic-prospects-for-the-unlocking-of-conflicts-at-the-ministry-of-education.html and the claims of the unions of employees of the Ministry, an agreement was found between the two parties for the progressive resolution of the problems.

Thus, the officials of the Ministry and those of the two main unions of employees of the Ministry the "Union of Employees of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training" (SEMENFP) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14609-icihaiti-social-new-union-within-the-ministry-of-national-education.html and the Staff Union of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (SPEMENFP) have reached a global agreement on a Memorandum of Understanding taking into account the main elements of the specifications of the trade unions and the concerns of the Ministry for the smooth running of the institution.

During the last working meeting, held last June 27th, chaired by Meniol Jeune, the Director General of the Ministry assisted by Jackson Pléteau, the Minister's Chief of Staff and Jacques Yvon Pierre, the technical coordinator of the cabinet in the presence union representatives, the document outlining an agreement have been reviewed to the satisfaction of the parties https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28011-haiti-politic-prospects-for-the-unlocking-of-conflicts-at-the-ministry-of-education.html

The signing of this document is scheduled during this first week of July between the designated officials of both parties.

Note that the last meeting was chaired by the Director General of the MENFP, Dr Meniol Jeune, assisted by the Minister's Office Director, Jackson Pléteau, and the technical coordinator of the cabinet, Jacques Yvon Pierre.
