The National Lottery for Public Assistance (LOTENAL), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico unveiled last week the lottery ticket commemorating the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations Mexico-Haiti of which the draw will take place on July 12th.

Errnesto Prieto Ortega, Director General of LOTENAL underlined that these 90 years of diplomatic relations (July 11, 1929 - July 11, 2019) between Mexico and Haiti are important not only for history, but also for the future of both countries "Mexico and Haiti are two nations that, over the past nine decades, have collaborated to promote the values of international politics and a permanent exchange in their trade relations," adding that Haiti is one of the most important Mexico's trading partners in the Caribbean region "The cooperation between our governments in areas essential to the development of each country has allowed us to consider ourselves as friends who, beyond our support in the wrong circumstances, also value us. which identifies us and strengthens us as sister nations."

Pérez Salazar, Chief Executive Officer of Latin America and the Caribbean, said it was July 11, 1929, that the two countries formalized their relations and that their efforts, understanding and dialogue led to mature relations, always in the interest of both countries that it is through dialogue that the two countries have shared common themes of the bilateral agenda for investment, trade and education.

In this spirit, Luc Garvey Jean Pierre Chargé de Mission of the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico made a point during this event, that it was the respect between the two Nations and the mutual solidarity that had allowed the reinforcement of these Diplomatic relations over the past 90 years declaring "My country is doing everything in its power to strengthen the friendship between our peoples."
