Haiti - Security : Terrible accident, 46 victims including 6 dead (provisional balance)

On Wednesday morning, a bus whose brakes have failed, carrying 96 pilgrims who had just participated in the patronal feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Saut-d'Eau, overturned on the national road #3, at the locality Terre Rouge not far from Mirebalais. According to Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization STOP-Accidents at least 5 ambulances were dispatched by the Haitian Red Cross (CRH) and the National Ambulance Center (CAN) to rescue and transport the wounded. The provisional toll is heavy at least 46 victims, 40 wounded (17 men, 18 women and 5 children), including some seriously and 6 dead. TB/ HaitiLibre
