The FOKAL is outraged face the arson attack, which destroyed the premises of the Jacques Roumain Community Library, the community radio "Tèt Ansanm" and the Center for the Culture and Development of Carice (SKDK), in this commune of North-east of Haiti. An act of vandalism that occurred following the publication of the final results of elections of March 20 and clashes between supporters.

The FOKAL expresses its deepest solidarity and demands that light be shed on these events and that justice is done. This is a collaborative effort of dozens of years reduced to ashes in an area where people already knew a lot of trouble to access the information. Library of Carice were a space that housed the library, a community radio station and a youth association.
