Haitians increasingly dependent on the diaspora

Nearly 70 percent of Haitians depend on the agricultural sector, which is predominantly subsistence-based and employs two-thirds of the country's labor force. This figure has been steadily decreasing for a quarter of a century. Haitians are highly dependent on the diaspora that each year injects billions of dollars into the economy of Haiti (about 2.9 billion, 30.7% of GDP in 2018).

Condolences of the French Embassy

Jérémie : Right to documentation
