After selling close to 1,000 books at the event last year, Canadian-Haitian writer Dany Laferrière of the Académie française (Montesquieu chair), returns to the Festival Haiti en Folie. The new "Guardian of the book" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-28034-icihaiti-literature-dany-laferriere-receives-the-title-of-guardian-of-the-book.html will go to meet his readers Sunday July at 3:00 pm at Parc Lafontaine in Montreal, for a signing session of all his books.

Since his first novel "How to make love with a negro without getting tired," to "Towards other shores," through "The enigma of the return" (Prix Médicis 2009), Danny has built a work which leaves no one indifferent and shines all over the world.

Remember that the Festival Haiti en Folie continues until July 28 at the Quartier des Spectacles (Jardins Gamelin), Theater Fairmount and Parc Lafontaine. More than 100 artists are participating this year in the Festival Haiti en Folie, including big names like Boukman Eksperyans, Emeline Michel, TiCorn, Bélo, James Germain... as well as artists from the local scene such as Wesli, DJ Windows 98 (Arcade Fire's Win Butler) Without Pressure & TiKid, Eddy King, Preach, Mehdi Bousaidan, Garihanna Jean-Louis, Rara Soley and Rara Jazz and many more... are part of this 13th edition.
