On Wednesday, July 31, Mayor Yvrose Pierre of Cap-Haitien, accompanied by the police and justice officials, stopped a spill, arrested several people and seized a large container ofwaste from the Caracol Park (North-East Department), which unloaded its contents illegally in the commune, more precisely on the road to SOS Village.

"Thanks to the attention of the Departmental Delegate, Antonio Jules managed to seize this container [...] In the declarations of the arrested people we learned that it was not the first time that they had unloaded garbage in the municipality. That is why we ask that the population continues to be vigilant [...]" said Mayor Yvrose Pierre.
