Friday was held at the Inspectorate General of Education, an important working session around the renewal of contracts for administrative and pedagogical staff. Chaired by Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, Minister of National Education, this meeting brought together the Director General of the National Office of the Partnership in Education (ONAPE), Delima Pierre, the Chief of Staff, Jackson Pléteau, the Technical Coordinator of the Cabinet, Jacques Yvon Pierre, departmental directors, cluster coordinators, cabinet members and departmental technical directors.

For the Minister Cadet, it is necessary to improve the procedures for issuing contracts and to early anticipate the signature in order to avoid all the delays recorded in general and not to penalize the agencies that provide a public service.

To this end, it was recalled that the lists of agents to be renewed, must be submitted by mid-August to the central authorities by all the entities of the Ministry for validation and monitoring. The necessary documents including the evaluation sheet must be transmitted also.

Cadet hoped that the process would be completed by October 21 at the latest so that all agents could be paid on time. The Human Resource Management Information System (SIGERH) will be put at disposition in this process with input from the Ministry's Information System Unit (ISU).

The Directorate of Resources and the Directorate of Administrative Affairs will ensure compliance with the procedures before submitting any contract for the signature of the Minister.

Moreover, the Minister Cadet expressed the wish that at the next academic year no teacher will be in the classroom without his letter of appointment or a contract authorizing him to practice his profession.
