The interfaith platform "Religions for Peace Haiti" informed that following the request of President Moïse to act as a facilitator of dialogue with the opposition to try to resolve the crisis https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28857-haiti-politic-jovenel-moise-solicits-religions-for-peace-as-facilitator-of-the-dialogue.html and after consulting, the political opposition, before the intransigence and the rejection of the opposition to dialogue with the Government in place, it had no other choice that withdraw and decline the request of the Head of State.

Monday in a letter addressed to Nahomme Dorvil, President Jovenel Moïse' Director of Cabinet, "Religions for Peace Haiti" justifies his refusal by explaining that it wrote to the three main opposition political party groups, which demand resignation of the Head of State, to ask them whether they agree to take part in a dialogue process aimed at finding a solution to the crisis. These political structures have dismissed all forms of dialogue with President Jovenel Moïse..."

"Religions for Peace Haiti" recalls that according to its principles, for it accept the role of facilitator, all parties to the conflict must agree.
