On Monday night, as part of the first phase of qualifying at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games for Senior Women, our Grenadières in Group C faced in their last pool match, Puerto Rico at the Juan Ramon Loubriel stadium in San Juan (Porto Rico).

Our valiant Grenadières after their easy victory against Suriname on October 3rd https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28920-haiti-og-tokyo-2020-our-grenadieres-humiliate-suriname-[10-0].html defeated Puerto Rico after a difficult match [2-1] thanks to goals from Mikerline Saint-Félix and Melchie Dumornay aka "Coventina" and obtained the only qualifying ticket for the Phase final will be played in March 2020.

In the first half Mikerline Saint-Felix opened the scoring for Haiti [1-0] at 12' before Ana Diaz equalized by scoring a goal for the Puerto Ricans [1-1]

In the second half, nothing was easy for our Grenadières, however, the two changes of Laurent Mortel (Roseline Eloissaint replaced Nelourde Nicolas and Batcheba Louis replaced Sherly Jeudy) brought a lot on the offensive side to our National Selection and allowed to "Coventina" to score a second goal for Haiti at 84' [2-1], score unchanged at the end of regulation time.
