Haiti - Diplomacy : New Ambassador of Chile in Haiti

Tuesday at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse, received the credentials of the new ambassador of Chile accredited to Haiti, Cristian Rodrigo Donoso Maluf.

The new diplomat renewed Chile's commitment to continue to accompany Haiti in its efforts to improve the living conditions of its people and pledged to strengthen cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

For his part, President Moïse assured him of the will of the Republic of Haiti to continue to maintain and strengthen the relations, the ties of friendship and the cooperation between the two countries.

Rodrigo Donoso Maluf is a State Professor of English at the University of the Frontier and a graduate of the Andrés Bello Diplomatic Academy. He holds a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of Chile and has completed postgraduate studies in International Relations at the University of Paris and the University of Vienna.

Prior to his appointment, he was Minister Counselor in the Chilean Mission to the European Union and the Chilean Embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg and previously : to the Chilean Mission to the WTO in Geneva; to the Chilean Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, to the Chilean Mission to the United Nations in New York and to the Chilean Embassy in Austria. He was also Consul and Delegate to Chile's Mission to the United Nations in Vienna.
