This Monday, November 18, the President of the Republic prevented by the opposition to go to Vertières (Dept. North), in order to commemorate the 216 years of the Battle of Vertières, simply deposited a wreath of flowers at the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH) and delivered a speech to the Nation that we invite you to discover.

Excerpt from the speech of President Jovenel Moïse :

"[...] the country is more than divided, the country is torn apart, in this November 18 we are asking for unity, between the rich and the poor, between those above and those below, between the people of black skin and those of light skin, between rural and urban, if we were united one would not want to exploit the other in a system that facilitates a small group while the majority stagnant in misery, poverty and and insecurity, this is not what our ancestors wanted [...]

People who are part of social, economic and political forces, like me, have an obligation to unite to be able to convert the crisis that the country is going through into a big opportunity that will put Haiti on the road of change. we all dream, we all agree on the problemes but we have a lot of differences on how to solve them.

The only way to find solutions to the problems is dialogue, to hear ourselves, to look at ourselves without prejudices [...]

You did not vote for me to run in front of my duties and obligations, you voted for me to face all that put you in hunger and insecurity, like Capois Lamort I will say FORWARD to all those who want to change this system [...] which prevents us from taking a step forward [...]

[...] it is in an inclusive dialogue with all the people without exceptions, all the people who want the change that we will arrive to find a good political agreement to set up a government of national union with a good roadmap that will allow to make good reforms against this system [...]"
