On Saturday, Michel Ange Louis Jeune, Commissioner spokesman for the National Police of Haiti (PNH) confirmed the arrest at Carrefour La Vallée (north entrance of Jacmel) around 1:00 am of the former Deputy Arnel Bélizaire and of 7 other accomplices identified by the police as: Belizaire Clermont (52), Jean Pierre Fleure (33), Joanis Roberson Harry (39), Paul Joanel (34), Pierre Killick Cémélus (33), Philemond Garry (46) and Estoril Mackenson (43).

The police raided a Bélizaire hotel in Lakou New York (Jacmel) and discovered and seized a veritable arsenal of war including: 3 assault rifles, several pistols including two .45 caliber Glock 21, two Bereta 9 mm, Smith & Wesson .40 caliber, 12 pistol magazines, 8 assault rifle magazines, close to 1,000 ammunition of various calibres, Austrian fragmentation grenade, 3 tear gas grenades, 1 gas mask, 14 mobile phones, 2 digital tablets and nearly 300,000 gourdes...

Early Saturday, an escort of SWAT TEAM, was sent to Jacmel to ensure transfer by helicopter of Bélizaire to the capital for questioning with his accomplices at the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ).

Later that day, in Port-au-Prince, the PNH carried out a search of the residence of Arnel Bélizaire at Delmas 29 in his presence, but far from the microphones and cameras of the media, even the lawyers of Bélizaire no have not been allowed to attend the search, which the resul is unknown at the moment.
