The Ministry of National Education welcomes the commitment of the population and the educational community for the resumption of school activities. He thanked all the actors indistinctly as well as the partners for their contribution to this collective effort of overcoming to protect the interests of the children and the school which is a common heritage, and informs that the 2019-2020 school calendar will be published very soon.

With 41 days lost out of the 189 scheduled in the original school calendar https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28379-haiti-flash-school-calendar-2019-2020-all-dates.html due to the socio-political crisis and insecurity, several private educational institutions, without waiting for the publication of the updated calendar of the Ministry, announced this week to the parents that in order to recover the days lost, several measures are envisaged which among others : the reduction of vacation days, the reduction of hours of extracurricular activities, the increase of hours of daily classes or even classes at the end of the week. Measures that would be applied throughout the remaining school year, so that children are not penalized and can receive the essential concepts required for each class.
