Haiti - Politic : The salary of parliamentarians will be used to build 10 high schools

In a declaration to the Nation Monday afternoon, President Jovenel Moïse, after he noted the lapse of Parliament and taken note of this institutional vacuum caused by the departure of the Chamber of Deputies and 2/3 of the Senate ; made a historical review of the parliament and the results of the current parliament.

At the same time he announced that 10 high schools will be built/renovated across the country with the money which was to pay in 2020 the 19 senators and 118 deputies, funds estimated at 1 billion 160 million gourdes (1,160,773,176 Gourdes).

"I make the decision to instruct the Minister of National Education for the rapid construction of 10 high schools across the country," he said.

The Lycées in question are:

- Lycée Jean Jacques Dessalines

- Lycée Daniel Fignolé

- Lycée Marie Jeanne

- Lycée de Jeune fille

- Lycée Tertulien Guilbaud

- Lycée François Capois

- Lycée Philippe Guerrier

- Lycée Paul Eugene Magloire

- Lycée Aux Perches

- Lycée of Trou du Nord

The Jean Jacques Dessalines high school will be rebuilt with a sum of 200 million gourdes, and the other 100 million each. The Minister of National Education (MENFP) is responsible for monitoring.
