Arrest of Gang Leader "Kirikou"

Thursday, January 23 in the Ducis area at Rivière des Mornes, working-class district of Les Cayes (South Dept.) agents of the Departmental Police of Order Maintenance Unit (UDMO) of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) proceeded to the arrest of the dangerous Gang Leader of the Savannah district, César Diene, alias "General Kirikou" who had repeatedly thwarted arrest attempts. "Kirikou" is believed to be responsible for several cases of murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Croix-des-Bouquets : Wild assault

Thursday at Croix-des-Bouquets unidentified individuals riddled with bullets the vehicle driven by Gaudy Salomon, a former police officer of the Intervention Corps of Order Maintenance (CIMO) who had just looked for his daughter and another child at school. Claudy Salomon died in this savage attack, as well of one of the two children, the other seriously injured, was rushed to hospital.

The DJ G. Pétidié assassinated

Thursday morning, the very famous DJ in Jacmel, Grégory Pétidié (25 years old) was fatally wounded with stabbing guns following an argument with a person identified as Agena Mickelson belonging to a rival neighborhood... Rushed to hospital Saint-Michel de Jacmel, the DJ unfortunately did not survive his injuries. In retaliation, Grégory fans torched 4 houses in the lower part of the city and erected barricades in several streets of Jacmel. Agena Mickelson was arrested later today in a suburb of Jacmel, by the Haitian National Police (PNH).
