The Office of the Secretary of State (Gérald Oriol Jr.) for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) received this week a donation of adapted materials from the Taiwan Embassy (Republic of China) in Haiti.

This lot, which consisted of 174 wheelchairs, 400 pairs of English canes, 315 pairs of crutches, 360 walkers and 1,000 white canes, strengthens the capacity of the BSEIPH to make technical aids available to disabled people in view of a more independent and fulfilled life.

On this occasion, around thirty people benefited from materials, which were adapted to their needs with the support of a team from the Haitian Society of Physiotherapy.

These materials will be distributed in different regions of the country through the BSEIPH Departmental Offices and organizations working with disabled people.
