Haiti - Politic : Start of housing construction work for police officers

Yvon Buissereth, Director General of the Public Enterprise for the Promotion of Social Housing (EPPLS) confirmed that since March 1, 2020, the National Equipment Center had started preliminary work on the vast Cinéas land in Delmas 75, where it will be erected a modern building complex for the benefit of police officers and their families.

This project, funded by the National Old Age Insurance Office (ONA) at a preferential rate which will be within the reach of all police officers, will extend over 5 hectares and will include several 5-storey buildings totaling 600 modern dwellings.

This real estate complex with all the amenities where it will be good to live in, will include a drinking water supply system with a 500,000 Gallons tank and wastewater treatment and will be equipped with, among other things, with a clinic, a shopping center, multi sports ground and green spaces. The construction duration of this project is estimated at 10 months.

Buissereth said the project was just the start of a large affordable housing program for public servants which is a campaign promise from President Jovenel Moïse.
