"On this auspicious day where the whole world paid homage to Women, the Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal joins it wholeheartedly to extend it for its part to each of the ladies, of all ages, from the Women's Community of the greater metropolitan area.

A tribute that I really deserve in so many respects : for the place among others, sometimes at the highest level, that they comfortably occupy in all vital sectors of Quebec life; for their strength of resilience in the period of adaptation to foreign lands; for the scrupulous attention paid daily to the education of children and to the balance of their family life and so on.

On behalf of the staff of the consular mission, I express here to the Haitian woman in our jurisdiction, the assurance of our solidarity and our deep admiration.

So it is with pleasure that we say to him : We are proud of you !
