Haiti - FLASH : New measures for travelers related to Covid-19

New Prime Minister Joseph Jouthe informs the general public that following the decision of the World Health Organization (WHO) to move Covid-10 from epidemic to pandemic, the Government has decided to submit all travelers entering the national territory to the various detection tests provided for in the protocol of the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO).

Land, air and sea transport companies are instructed not to embark to Haiti passenger from one of the following 6 red zones0 : China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France and Germany https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30226-haiti-flash-covid-19-passengers-from-6-countries-can-no-longer-disembark-directly-in-haiti.html if the passenger has not spent at least 14 days in a risk-free area before departure.

Are excluded the staff of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in Haiti and the members of their families subject to the application of the sanitary measures adopted by the Ministry of Public Health.

All Haitian citizens and foreigners residing in Haiti who have stayed in a red zone within the 14 days preceding their arrival in Haiti will be quarantined for observation.

"Consequently, those responsible for ports, airports and border crossings points are requested to take all the necessary measures for the strict application of the measures adopted by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Interior.

Furthermore, the Haitian Government strongly discourages Haitian citizens from going to the areas affected by the new Covid-19 until WHO declares the epidemic under control and the Prime Minister's Office invites the population to respect the health security instructions passed by the MSPP
