GLOBAL SITUATION :

Since the start of the pandemic, 212,072 people have been cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+ 8.24%), 16,143 more than yesterday.

The number of people infected worldwide today is 752,442 (+ 7.3%), 51,222 more than yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic 53,179 people have died from Covid-19 worldwide (+ 12.46%), which is 5,892 more than yesterday.

Since the start of the pandemic 49,853 deaths (+ 13.39%) have been recorded outside China, or 5,888 more deaths than yesterday.

Thursday, New York State recorded 92,743 confirmed cases (+ 10.35%) compared to the previous day, 8,697 more and 2,468 deaths (+ 11.17%) or 248 more in 24 hours.

Trump negative on a second Covid-19 test :

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday from the White House that he had had a second test for the Covid-19 coronavirus, which turned out to be negative, like the first about two weeks ago.

In Montreal, epicenter of the pandemic in Quebec where the largest Haitian community is located (nearly 200,000 members), 2,642 confirmed cases (+ 25.99%) or 545 more than yesterday (47.88% of all cases in the Province) .

Montreal (2,642), Montérégie (486), Estrie (404), Laval (411) and Lanaudiere (305 cases).

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC :

Epidemiological situation :

Thursday the number of active cases amounted to 1,304 cases (+ 7.0%) or 86 more in 24 hours. 60 people have died since March 1 (+ 5.26%) or 3 more since the day before. 16 people were cured (+ 166%) or 10 more in 24 hours.

The provinces with the highest number of confirmed cases are : National District (39%), Saint-Domingo (14%), Santiago (12%) and Duarte (8%).

Extension of the Curfew :

Thursday, President Danilo Medina extended by 15 days from this Friday, April 3, 2020, the curfew instituted by decree # 135-20, of March 20, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. throughout the national territory.

FRANCE :

Epidemiological situation :

Thursday April 2, 2020, Jérome Salomon, the Director General of the Ministry of Health announced that 26,246 people are currently hospitalized or 1,607 cases more (+ 6.5%) in 24 hours including 6,399 in intensive care (+ 6.35%) 382 more than the previous day and 439 in critical condition. Since the start of the epidemic 5,398 people have died (+ 33.51%) or 1,355 more than yesterday (including 884 deaths in nursing homes, very partial assessment ) 12,068 people have been cured (+10.36 %) or 1,133 more in 24 hours.

Top 3 of the most affected regions :

Île-de-France: 9,609 hospitalizations 1,369 deaths.

Grand Est region: 4,470 hospitalizations and 1,126 deaths.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region: 2,635 people hospitalized and 349 deaths.

Tips :

Basic advice protect yourself and avoid the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible, in case of introduction in Haiti :

  • Always cough or sneeze into your sleeves or elbow, never on the other person's face or in your hands;

  • Use tissues to wipe your hands or face and then throw them in the trash and then wash your hands;

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcoholic water. You can also use a "sanitizer";

  • Avoid close contact with someone with flu-like illness and invite them to seek treatment;
