Sunday, April 5, the Ministry of Public Health confirmed 3 new cases of Covid-19 in the country.

Active cases in isolation: 23 (+ 15%), 3 more than on Saturday April 4.

Death: 1 (West Dept.)

North West: 1

West: 16;

South: 0;

Southeast: 4;

Number of tests performed: 257

Results: 254

Confirmed positive cases: 24 or 9.4% of all results

Distribution of confirmed cases by age group :

0-19 years: 1 case;

20-44 years 12 cases;

45-46 years 9 cases;

65 and over: 2 cases.

According to Dr. Patrick Dely, Director of Laboratory Epidemiology and Research (DELR), 63 people are in hospital quarantine and 613 in residential quarantine.

The Haitian health authorities recalled that Haiti is now in phase 2 of the epidemic with 4 confirmed cases of community transmission.
