Haiti - Politic : Tribute to nurses

Tuesday as part of the commemoration of World Nursing Day, around the national theme "Nurses at the heart of Covid-19 in Haiti", the Center for Permanent Information on the Coronavirus (CPIC) did not fail to put under the spotlights the nurses, medical personnel placed on the front line in the chain of care at this time of Covid-19 pandemic.

While respecting hygiene measures and social distancing, this ceremony served as an excuse to highlight this noble profession

In the speech of Dr. Marie Greta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health, read by Mrs Irma Bois, the Minister recalled how this new pandemic places nurses at the heart of the solution "Globally, the nurse is a path made to guide towards a healthy world," and expressed her admiration and feelings of gratitude towards them "Despite the chronic weaknesses of our health system, the sacrifices they have made, make them beings exceptional."

For its part, the National Association of Nurses and Licensed Nurses of Haiti (ANILH) took advantage of the occasion to pay tribute to nurse Lucie Charles who died recently.

In addition, Ms. Bois drew attention to the hard and tireless work that nurses are showing, especially in this situation of health crisis, recalling that they are called upon to provide care fairly and without discrimination, recalling that for this "We need working conditions favorable to quality work."
