The Dominican airline, Air Century announced the gradual resumption of its regular operations during the month of July, in compliance with the health regulations and protocols necessary to travel during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"[...] After being without operation for more than three months, we restarted cautiously, to focus on the ability to comply, not only with the needs of our travelers, but also with the protocols necessary to maintain safety and quality of service," said Arantxa Chahin, Director of Marketing for Air Century.

On July 3 Air Century made its first flight to Port-au-Prince from La Isabela International Airport in Santo Domingo with 14 passengers on board and returning to Santo Domingo with 19 passengers.

In the first phase of reopening of operations, the frequency of flights between Santo Domingo and Port-au-Prince will be limited to three flights per week : Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The airline also announces that it has signed an agreement with "Discover Cars" to provide passengers with quick access to the car rental service via the airline's website.
