Tuesday, Rockefeller Vincent, the new Minister of Justice, Miradin Morlan the DG of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), the North Delegation and the Municipal Authorities of Cap-Haitien jointly organized the first Assises around the issue of land tenure insecurity and land conflicts in the Department.

Participated in the reflections and debates of this first meeting : Municipal Authorities of several comunes in the North, the Departmental Directorate of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Government Commissioners from several jurisdictions, the Bar of Lawyers of Cap-Haitien, Associations of Notaries and Surveyors.

Given the magnitude of the land problem in Haiti, it was agreed that other meetings will take place on dates to be determined.
