Taking advantage of the absence of the guards busy providing access to showers to inmates, he forced the lock of his cell and went to the roof of the penitentiary center where he tried to hide. However, thanks to the joint intervention of penitentiary officers and police officers from the Commissariat de Croix-des-Bouquets, Arnel was quickly found, subdued and returned to his cell, putting an end to his escape attempt and his dream of freedom...

The coordination of the Press and Public Relations of the National Police of Haiti vigorously denies the information which suggests that Arnel Joseph would have escaped and specifies "Indeed, there was an attempt to escape, but the detainee was turned back to his cell."
