In a note, Pradel Henriquez, the Minister of Culture said to have learned "with emotion, the sad news of the death of Anthony Pascal", said Konpè Filo, which occurred this Friday, July 31, 2020.

"Konpè Filo" left, leaving behind a whole Nation in pain and sadness. The Ministry salutes this Mapou who has rendered service to the Nation [...]"

Minister Pradel Henriquez "expresses his sympathies to his family, to the Director General, Jean Lucien Borges, to the entire Radio Télé Ginen team and to all the Haitian press mourned by this mourning."

Reacting to this sad disappearance, President Jovenel Moïse declared "A mapou has fallen, and pain is felt in all the lakous. “Konpè Filo”, whose real name is Anthony Pascal, has passed away.
