"These violent demonstrations, unacceptable in a democratic society, project the image of an uncontrollable country, finding itself on an anarchic and explosive path [...]

The OPC condemns the attitude of the Government Commissioner, Me Gabriel Ducarmel, who showed cretinism in the treatment of this file by not having had the perspicacity to transfer it to the cabinet of instruction but by deciding to issue warrants of committal against the police officers having committed an administrative fault."

The OPC is also questioning the attitude of the members of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), "who waited, as usual, for the situation to deteriorate instead of intervening upstream. This situation creates a psychosis of fear in Haiti and endangers the life and property of citizens who agree to live in the country despite numerous socio-economic constraints,"" recalling that no society can be built on violence.
