On Thursday, October 29, French Ambassador José Gomez signed partnership agreements worthing more than 10 million euros to support the health sector in Haiti.

Under these agreements, the French Development Agency (AFD) will provide support of 2.25 million euros to the Haitian Association Zanmi Lasante in order to strengthen its response capacity to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Second, in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, AFD will support maternal and child health services in the departments of Grand Anse, South and North-West to the tune of 8 million euros under the Project "TIMAMA 2".

This Project extends the actions already carried out by French cooperation in this field and underlines France's desire to come to the aid of Haitian women and to support their rights relating to maternity and sexuality.
